Design Objective: Design a mural for the cosmetology department of CVCC. Use photos from the cosmetology students and the classroom area as inspiration and include multiple aspects of cosmetology in the design.
Design Brief: The design chosen is of a girl with long multicolored hair, makeup, and nails with all different cosmetology products around her. This composition was chosen because it fit well with the required measurements of the wall that the mural will be put on, having the long hair flowing to fill a majority of the space as well as the hand and products around it sprinkled in. The design is multicolored to bring inspiration and a sense of fun to the space and help keep it bright. The multicolor aspect also works to represent that in cosmetology, the cosmetologist and model aren’t limited to plain boring colors and styles; they can create fun and colorful styles and experiment outside of the box.
